Move over folks, new entrants are on the way to cheat gullible people with the promises of huge commissions and easy/quick money after merely becoming a member associate of their company. Meet MyVideoTalk. It is offering huge commissions for introducing new business associates to it and offering you riches unimaginable.
The modus operandi is a la Amway. It too has the same system of chain marketing with various levels of marketing. It also gives fancy names to its members once they 'achieved' in inducing more members into the scheme. The whole point is how many members you can rope in. If you can 'convince' more people to part with their money, you earn a lot of commission.
The MyVideoTalk too has the similar pattern of personal volume earnings like Amway. The only difference is this company was floated as recently as 2004 only. Still, it is spreading like water under the carpet and deceiving a sizable number of people around the world.
This is the reason that I have been terming that Amway is the mother of all scams. Everybody is taking cue from Amway and have been working hard to cheat people.
I hope people would realise the dubious schemes of these fraudulent companies and not fall prey to these machinations.

If i am not wrong AMway was banned from advertising in paper and media. The business of amway is not banned and it is working as usual.
In myvideotalk you are not required to pay anything as membership fees, You purchase the product and you are a member. There is no compulsion on the member to enroll other members, there are no targets. One may purchase the product for personal use/business use and keep quiet, the company does not ask you to enroll members mandatorly. IF at all you are interested to get commission on account of selling this product you may do so. The webconferance tool is priced at about 3 lakhs by other companies, whereas MVT offers it for mere Rs.8800. Its opposite to Amway policies. The points you are refering regarding frauds is with respect to Pyramid companies, MVT is a MLM company. Network marketing is going to stay and it is the future. We need to frame laws in such a way to encourage geniuene companies. People like you should first attend the presentation and understand the business model, analyse what is the law in other countries and then make a comment.

Answering Mr Sita Ram's other question, even Madoff and Raju were paying taxes.. That doesn't mean a company, its scheme or operations can't be fraud or illegal. Maybe no one has questioned MVT operations till now. Anyone can register a company in India by paying as little as 11000 rupees. Registrar of companies doesn't go and check if every company is doing the right thing. It came out with a statement after some days in case of Satyam, just to give an example. If the company is doing legal business, why was advertisement banned? Any legal business has right to advertise about its product...
As mentioned in the original post, why do you need a product like this if you have so many free options, world is going towards open source, mate. These guys solicit as if this is next gold rush and you will miss the bus if you don't join. I haven't seen any mail having video till now, is this really getting used?

Team Effort International, the parent company of MyVideoTalk, doesn't have its own website or contact address listed....Google search gives a network marketing hosting site npros.com as the company website and doesn't have any address for TEI..... Wha should one infer out of it.....

Thanks for your comments and inputs. Its october 2008 when i first commented on MVT, i have done lot of research on the company before i purchased the product. I am using the product for myself and the quality is good.I frankly admit that i am not successful in MVT because i did not put effort in it. I have seen youngsters earning good money in this. I do not have regrets because i learnt a lot during this journey into Network marketing. I believe Network marketing would be the solution in future if run with good intention. What the company says. you just purchase it and use it.you can benifit four other product also. Well, as I understood these people (MVT) they are cutting the cost of Advertisements and other marketing strategy and getting the product directly to the End user..and they are not forcing to buy the product!!

This company has come with some future communication tools based upon cutting edge video streaming technology which can cost in lakhs for anyone if want to use these kind of products from any other source. In a very small amount you get access to all these products and in addition to this if you are willing to make money you can, I am sure after may be two or more years you will purchase suite of myvideotalk products from anyone like me who will get his commission and make money because company never sell products directly to anyone.

Networking, when it is succesful, they call it AVON, when it is a failure they call it a scam ... it is similar to a gun ... we can't say possessing a gun is illegal unless you know who's the one holding it. The product is good ... with their upgrade to 15,000 mbps to reduce buffering.

I attended a session yesterday as one of my friend told me that this is a internet marketing business without leaving your current job. Later I found that this is a MLM which I am not interested in. I attended this session thinking that its really a internet marketing thing like affiliate marketing using google adwords.
My suggestion:
Based on experience I can tell you that this product is going to be available in global market as a open source tool just like what yahoo messenger, MSN, skype and such free tools are providing. So please don't run behind it and wait till the time you get it for free.
My questions:
- Even if you buy this product whom will you talk to?
- MVT guys tell seriously, are you using this product to talk to all your relatives daily? or does your all relatives has a PC?
- Video conferencing used for business purpose is required only in few cases will your product help in IT project?
- If MVT don't have a customer care then why is the yearly maintenance charge of Rs. 2000/-?
- Whats the point in having offline video messages? if it comes to relatives everyone wants to talk to each other directly. In business also applies the same thing. So no point in having offline videos also or else if you strongly recommend to have such video we can use our own cam coders to record video, compress the file and share it simple. so again no point.

i wanted to see the company office in delhi with my teem of 12 people from imphal we took a flight to reach ,and i was ashamed in front of my teem it was not an office its a 2bed room home in greater kailash part 2,no sign bord,becose its a home,when we enter with 10 of us hardly it was any place to move,their was only two computer for product demo but with no web cam ,i was ashamed and came back to imphal next day we wasted out money,to tell you the truth i started mvt with 600+ team imphal alone after seeing the office we drop the idea of dooing mvt its not relaible company

When I attended MVT's session, first thing I was told is this is going to be one of biggest invention (sic!!!) since internet. It will grow to be biggest business in the market in another year, presentation was very well prepared and was very catchy, only issue was that it was showing year as 2005 and I was attending the session in 2008 end. If it did not become popular in 3 years, how much time is needed.
This is just to give a perspective to readers, I am not trying to discourage anyone here. I personally did not like the way it was conveyed to me, so many things were hidden.I also saw how they were trying to brainwash others, even some people from other MLMs.

Did you come to know what is the number of people employed who are genuinely working on developing these products. "Technology cannot be constant for ever". Are there any big fish blue chip investors who see this business as future software technology. And wait to watch they never show what company's profits or losses , no corporates tie-ups at all. All you can see no investor has a portfolio to judged any such product or company. These are locals who are keen to invest with no idea of the market tricks & tangles.

Amway is not a scam. It is a legal business that has been around for 50 years. Most companies don't even last that long anymore. The people who compete with MLM companies...(other MLM companies) are the ones who plant negative comments against the competition. Corporate business are laying people off left and right..yet they are considered "okay". The world is changing, people are beginning to realize that they have a better chance of surviving in a Direct Sales business. You guys need to wake up and smell the "New World Business". hey u guys out there im considering to join the mvt not to make money out of their com plan but to use the tech to boost my very own biz. being not very good in IT i find that all i need to do is use the tech given from mvt with easy to use instructions and boost my own biz. You know as a real estate agent u can use this tech and show yr would be buyers the flats or houses u wanna sell witout them coming for the view and easyly say no after all the effort u put in to arrange for the view. by having this tech I can now choose my customers and who choose to say im buying it then i put in my work. at least i save my money. And the extra thing here is the option to recommend it to others and for that the company willing to pay some commission. Whats wrong to that. who is STUPID the person who gets cheated or the one one who is cheating. If you dont want it just stfu and dont use it. Do i make sense here ppl?

Laura, you did not say how many people you have enrolled to get back your money. Could all the persons you enrolled be able to enroll as many persons as you could? That is what is called mathematical impossibility. That is why it attracts the provisions of the Prize Chits & MOney Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act of 1978 which imposes an imprisonment of 3 years.
Always evaluate an MLM company using the 5P’s:
1.People – Who are running the business? Do they have the experience to run a successful company? Track record of the company.
2.Products – Are they unique and does everybody need it?
3.Plan – Are they paying you properly for your efforts? Or just making you jump through hoops? Do they have a high ceiling?
4.Price – Is the product worth it’s price or not?
5.Positioning – Is the product ‘ahead of trends’ in terms of positing in the market?
When you ask these 5 questions, you will very clearly know the RIGHT companies from the WRONG ones.

Please note that the $25 will be given to your account and all upliners account but will not be cashed out unless you achieve the 2:4 ratio. That means you are able to take the cash out once the cycle of 6 sales are achieved. Each person above will complete this cycle = 20 people x 6 sales = $ 42,000 to the company, and in return they give you = 20 people x 6 sales x $25 each = $ 3000 as your sales profit. So the company makes a profit of $ 39,000.

MyVideoTalk is a dynamic company that is not only in India but in 40+ countries including the USA. You need to do more research before you pass judgement. The software tools are phenomenal and to be able to offer other businesses the ability to completely brand and customize themselves on the web for a nominal fee is priceless.
this fellow did not say how much he has earned while recruiting other members into this scheme. The crux of the issue is recruiting. without recruiting there is no MLM business and what do you do with video talk when Skype is free on Internet. That is why it is fraud.
Definitely MVT is a fraud. I lost $350 and the product is worthless for me. Gtalk and Skype are far better than MVT.

I have read through all the threads which started off on 3rd oct 2008 and is pretty much active till date. There are lots of people who are supporting and praising high and low about MVT.
Honestly, i am not against MLM but what is problem is what the product is that is used to implement the MLM business model. Here what i found is, the people who are buying the product, do they actually require the product/ service or are they just buying the product so that they can also enter the network. So the inference is that the utility of the actual product that is sold is not the product itself but the fact that they need to get money out of it. 90% of the people who are buying it is not buying for the quality of the product or for the utility of it, but only for making more money out of it. It’s apparent that the product is not of importance here. This same business model can even be used to sell a ROCK. There is a pile of rock and u buy a rock from that pile and then if u are able to get someone else to buy another rock from that pile u get paid for it, Then I think there will be people who will running after to buy those rocks as long as it looks like something convincing it need not be of any value. Its like generating a requirement for a product that has no use atall.. That is wat is making this a scam. In MLM if they are trying to sell something that is required and selling them to the required target market who requires it then its ok. But this is like selling a pair of shoes to a man with no legs.!!!
When free and better alternatives are there, why go to pay for just gaining acces to a website giving he same (or poor) service?? And as far as MLMs, Cheaters and Scams are concerned, it will not stop unless and until the people get alert not to fall into traps in their greed to make quick money without doing any real work.

After attending my first MVT meeting in a hotel in Dubai (looks like a service room of a banquet hall)I can assure all my friends that if you join, you people are gonna loose your penny. The person who did the presentation was prussurising first timers to enroll then itself. The reason he said was if you hesitate you are going to be overtaken by people who join before you. What rubbish. The meeting lasted for nearly 90mts and I felt ashamed the way some guys becoming very low respecting their so called top earners just to put dust into eyes of beginners.

This industry is really booming. I was part of QNet also another great networking company, but I did not make a penny out of it because I came across dream stealers just like you guys and I was not motivated to put effort into it, but till this day i am enjoying their product :p. But, what I gained from QNet was a lot of experience.
Now I have been with MVT since 4 months and my downline is increasing at a rate of 2 units per day :D:D:D. That is what you get in putting a lot of effort on planting those seeds and sacrificing your leisure time.
You haters are just losers acting as if 350$ is all what you got in your bank account hehe.
Just put in your mind that only RISK TAKERS and people who fail and learn how to get back up are winners. I might have failed before, but I have learnt a lot and I have a wonderful team.
Most people are just afraid of what they do not know when it has something to do with their money. A lot of people want instant results and this is not the right place for those people. Many people miss out on the reason they got into NM because they dont stick around for the next step that comes after failure....SUCCESS!! :D:D:D
Last word I would like to say for those people calling NM a scam. See you perhaps got across people who were part of NM and thought they'd make money without doing any work lol or they were expecting instant cash. So when the cash fails to start rolling in, they think they've been ripped off lol.
Oh @ the people asking how the company makes a profit, I will tell you:
See in simple terms let's forget about the bonus cycles (like the 50$ for the first directs).
So 6 joins (4:2 or 2:4) that 150$ for IR and 6x350$=2100$ for MVT
SO, 150$ 2100$ x2
300$ 4200$ x2
600$ 8400$ x2 etc...
now if you put that on excel because I am an engineer myself so I asked ok at some point both numbers are going to meet down the road. That is why the company put a cap of 5k$ so that if any money your making goes more than the cap goes to the company. That is how they make their profit.

You are a great man doing your duties honestly as a journalist and an advocate against MLM/NM, you are the role model for your profession please keep it up so the people can decide and choose the right option available to them.
Due to your blog a lot of people will understand the reality and could be saved being a victim of scams and fraudulent MLM companies and the other way around many will get benefited to help others honestly to help themselves and choose to take an opportunity and will become part of a reliable company and will become user of a product they really need and recommend only to those could use it and be happy or go for the compensation plan if they are interested in it.

Marketing is all around us all the time; think about it carefully the following marketing tactics and we are always victim of;
50% off, 75% off, buy one get one, two or three free, shop is closing down, spend this much and get a voucher of this amount or win a car etc. etc. Are we thinking that time; we really need this product or we can afford it or not but we just go and buy the product and loose our hard earned money for ever than throw the product after using it for some time and start looking for new product or next offer or loot sale in the market.
People are spending lot of money all the times on lottery tickets, gambling etc. to become rich overnight but few wins and majority loose; can we stop people to choose I think big NO.
Personally I have done lot of research on the internet about MLM/NM and reach to the following conclusions;
My personal perception developed up to know is that MLM/NM is a more then 50 years old concept and a tactic to attract potential buyers and to promote any product or service in a way that directly involve the end user of the product or service with an effective and long term compensation plan of growth and development of the company and product or service itself.
In the past and till now a lot of greedy companies, scammers and people in the world started using this concept to promote fake and inferior products and services and mislead, fooled a lot of people and disappeared.
I am in the field of computers since 1985, was invited by one of my old friends in Dubai last month in MVT warrior’s presentation, the first part of presentation was about the product; believe me or not I have been really looking for such a product or tools that could help to promote my exciting business in Dubai and generate more leads within minimum cost because after using internet for a such a long time I realized the fact that there is NO Free Lunch in the world if someone is claiming he is laying; one way or the other someone has to pay the price.
The 2nd part was about the compensation plan; I really don’t believe in shortcuts or lotteries etc. so the plan didn’t attracted me much as per my nature, after the presentation I requested to my friend to give me ID and password of his MVT and started using it for a week and found it very helpful for my business than I started research about the compensation plan and MLM/NM. And singed up last week as it is my choice and my life and no can stop me to take a decision for my business and life.
I have already referred my two down slots to appropriate people and happy with the product. If someone in Dubai want to join my team most welcome and don’t care what people think and say about the product or MLM/NM.

Hi All, maybe my comments come in a bit late but...i had been invited a number of times for MVT presentations and talks from their so called seniors. So been there done that. One thing people here have not identified is "Is there a Product?" My Video Talk they say it is so as with any product IT Related is there a support? Helpline? Take use it if you understand if not no returns but YES if you recommend this to someone you get a part of the returns right?? OK here i am thinking i will sell it to someone obviously known or related person but do i know the product??? Heres where the senior MVT person told me something that startled me and did make sense. He said"I am not selling a product, i am selling MLM" i cannot provide you with details of how it works or wether theres support or if it will work on your operating system. i am here to market MLM."
So in a nutshell people please understand MLM doesnt sell a product it is making you earn on your connections. Now if you think you are good in marketing try selling it to unknown persons. DONT SELL IT TO KNOWN PEOPLE i.e. FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. As far as the company being a fraud i say they do raise a lot of questions than answers but doesnt mean to say they are illegal or fraud. Still a long way from convincing me atleast that wether i market the product or MLM connections. Mind you i do have an IT background myself too and i do not see anything over the moon that they are offering. i believe its simple technology in laymans terms. I also received an email from their seniors with a video and when i played it more than once it gave me an error message saying server visited more than once request full. So there you go. After reading all comments, I came to know that there are lot of enemies for network / mlm marketing. I know that they joined in any one of network marketing and they unable to sell the product to any one even their close friends. Because of frustration only they are thinking all these type companies are scam.
But I would like to tell to the people like Raj that... Any MLM company says to sell the product to some 2/3/4/n number of people.If you didn't get the commission after the joinings then you can say the company is scam.When you can not sell the product why did you join? don't show your jealous to any others.
All MLM companies follow one system i.e. Direct selling. Imagine... you are a sales man and you are working for a pens company and you got target to sell 10 pens in a day. If you complete the target the company will give 10+ pens to sale on next day. If you can not sale in any day you can not get commission on that day.
But these MLM/Network/Direct selling companies give you chance to sell to some people and tell the people to do the same. You can get, they can get and company also can get money.But the people like Mr.Raj they come to presentation, immediately join. And... sleeping in houses and dreams that their product automatically gives millions of bucks with out any effort. Once they wake up, they think all the companies are fraud. They even doesn't think that without effort there will be nothing is free in the world.
Conclusion : If somebody getting huge income in this business means there will be 2 reasons. Fist is they worked very hard to reach to that position. Second is byluck he got hard workers in his team as down line.

Your point. Why people are not in a position to sell products? The reason is simple. All these products are highly and exorbitantly priced to enable the company to give up to 30 per cent of its price as commission to the downline members. Ultimately it is the company which is benefited. That is why it is a scam.
Show me one MLM company which has not priced its products exorbitantly.
Secondly, the company pays commission to the members who enrolled new members. That is also illegal under the provisions of PCMC Act,1978.
It is not jealousy. It is against the law of the land.

Of course, such companies keep on running because the victims do not lodge complaints with the police. Many a time, the police do not take action against such companies even if they receive complaints. These are all white collar crimes and there is no sufficient police force to act against these crooks.

This type of MLM companies are basically pyramid schemes or ponzi schemes, and illegal in India and in most part of the world. There is a law in India "Prize Chits & Money Circulation (Banning) Act, 1978" that prohibits all such operations. Myvideotalk or Team Effort International, LLC. Speakasia, Qnet, etc. are examples of pyramid schemes that operates for some years, then close down with all money, and then resurfaces with a different name! In Sri Lanka not only the promoters, but agents / members / sellers of these type of schemes are punishable by law with a jail term of 3 years. I think India also needs a law to also punish agents / members / sellers of these type of schemes along with the promoters to stop this menace.

I am not sure whether it is a scam or a genuine business opportunity, since I was not aware of this concept before yesterday. Some people are sending emails via Naukri.com to many individuals offering Business Development positions with Teameffort International.
I would like to ask those who have generated income from this method, that what is this concept exactly, i know it is a type of MLM also but do you really that you can generate income using this tool in today's world where people are becoming smarter day by day. I am not against to any business or way of business but I want honest feedback from those who have been engaged into this for quite a while and how they are performing nowadays?

Yes, these schemes are illegal and you can safely call these scam. yes, these type of illegal businesses are not easy as people are becoming smarter & smarter, but you can still find mindless greedy people. However, since you are not against to any business or way of business, you can go for it, but there are easier ways to scam people, like you can offer fake jobs, or sell fake real estate projects, or even better if you can start a money market company and sell ponzi schemes, you will make more money in shorter time :) All the best :)

hello it is not a fraud company,it is genuine,it's products are of high quality,u can use the product to promote ur own private business,like real estate,webinar services,ok,it is a double business scheme,u can earn thru ur own private business+ network marketing,it is very good.
You can legally get a refund within 15 days of purchase, and per my experience, your contact will not contact you if he senses you want to refund. I faced it and lost my money :(

I got a call but i didnt go, coz I am lazy. Alright, whether its fraud or genuine. It doesnt matter. See even your oil companies are the biggest fraudsters out there. Dont want to get deep into that coz everyone agrees to that and nobody can do anything about it. Its all about making money, in any way possible. To some it may feel wrong, unethical, fraud, great, good, easy. Its all a personal thing.
Now back to the company, and to all those complaining about the product. FORGET THE PRODUCT. See it this way, its simple. You pay them 350$ to get into the chain. You approach people in your circle and dont sell the product, sell the scheme. Tell them that if u pay 350$, u also get into the chain. Ask them to get more people to pay 350$ to get into neverending chain. When u or they pay, the company is benefited, and some part goes to u.
The so called PRODUCT is just a face. They cant go on shouting saying give us money to get into chain. They have to cover up that fact with something. They can even say pay 350$ for a magical water. You go and sell that water for same cost and ask the people below to do the same.
So should you join it ( I havent joined myself, and dont think i will coz i dont have contacts)???
- It totally depends on u, if u can ask your friends to invest 350$ then you must. Dont tell them that this is a good product and what not. We all know its just a poor quality video crap and just a face for this scheme. Tell them pay 350$ so that u can make the bonus, and ask them to ask their friends to pay up 350$.
The more you add up the more money you make. Its not easy and its too good to be true. No doubt many people made money from it, but more than that many people lost.
Dont see it as a scam or not. Its a business. Same like bribing a sarkari babu (its a fees he is charging, same as the governing body), or like paying taxes. If you get into the history of it, then all of these are scams. Even education is the biggest scam known to man.

The posting came on 2008 before MVT launching in UAE. 5 years passed and still people are talking positive about the company means something in it. I am not a technology freak, but am using this products happily. Thank God, no need to install any software for using this and getting good quality as well. am not concetrating on the product part much but am crazy on the money making part. Before criticizing something, try to learn it first. contact successful people than the people failed to get success due to their own reason.
Real Fact:
A girl named Priya has raised money from many people on behalf of MVT schemes but till date there are no returns, no response, no correspondence what so ever. I recently visited MVT office in New Delhi. They dont exist and they have run away with the landlords money too.

MVT is totally fraud. They will brain wash your mind and make you greedy for money by showing their standard figure of saving AED. 750000/- in one year, which you can not save by employment in 20 years.
This makes people crazy and they join with AED.1500/- and lost the money.
Even if you smart and try to escape, they will trap you and pressurized you to joined by forced and it is very difficult to come out from their trap.
Simple example, if you ask them and see the enroll number it is around more than 3oo thousand people joined. But you can hardly see 30-40 people who is doing this work who do not have job or both.
Beware of MVT agent, do not be greedy to make quick money, because it will not work even if you want. Now a day people are become very smart, poor fellow who do not know get trap by MVT agent.

Let say I have a team size of 8000+, but like u said only 30-40 will be working...WHY???? At most it is laughable. Do you mean to say that the company is not liable for fraud. The business model is illegal and attracts the provisions of the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978. The Andhra Pradesh High Court dissected the business model of Amway India and held that its business model is illegal. Just read the judgment which is available in this blog.
If that's the case how come Amway still has their office back in Bangalore????

The products are good and can be used for personal and business purpose. If u feel that the compensation is may be tricky or complicated, then enjoy the product for life long and renewing it on an annual basic....
Its a very clever company. No one can prove them that their product is a fraud.
But the fact is ITS A TRAP...
Why its a TRAP
1. They are selling MVT as a business tool by referring to common people(near and dear) who do not run any business.
2. If its a business tool all big business houses and corporates would have bought this.
3. There is no such technology like video in email. The biggest email provider company GMAIL would have provided that.
4. MVT is not video in email... very cleverly their software embed a video frame in email and save the video on their server. So actually there is no video in email. Its a link pointing to video.
5. Any small business and big corporate can do the same by posting video on YOUTUBE and sending link in email.
6. Still why its running because of unemployment and lucrative commission it pays to its member. All MLM companies does the same.
7. So its up to you... whether you want to make money by putting your own people (friend) in this trap.
8. There are many such companies who run this kind of business. Its up-to you whether you want to be a part of it or not.
9. Government has rules and regulations to tackle these kind of TRAP and fraud... however we know how rules are bypassed.
10. Please understand one thing. If product is not used by the end user and money is coming only by ref feral then its a doubtful business.

The products like video designer, works on the principle of hyperlink, which like Mr.Krishna said one can do with the YouTube link....but can you customise it YouTube link with the design that you require?????
Also MVT calls it Video Designer and not Video emails..... bcoz you designing the video with a banner, a picture and a write up.....

Now some one making money by referring a product is not a big deal...in that case Country Club is a fraud, as they pay the one who refers good money (if he is a member of country club).....

I'm not amazed of the product, but only of the prospect of earning that much money.
I think that if you really want to earn, work hard. There are alot of opportunities out there. You can work while running a business, (although most would argue that running a business should be a full time job). One can also be a consultant, work online, or probably be an insurance agent. (I ACTUALLY know someone who does all these.)

I would rather chose on selling Insurances (pru life UK) and become an agent to them, the product is visible, the company is visible, it has its financial statements, the company invest in Stock exchanges to earn more money. and I get commissions if i do sell them (to consider I will still start the training next week at a cost of Php 1000-1300 for a one week training exam fee and food) its an investment too, if I get hospitalized I get 1k a day, 150k to my heirs if i die.(concentrated on investment side of the insurance) and a person can have multiple life insurances and the company will not worry of not having new clients as it is making money through its investment elsewhere such as PSE.

My friend Juan.....investing in Insurance and in stocks are very good options of investments. I myself work in an MNC, consider MVT as my additional source of income and yes I have also invested in insurance like Zurich and in Trading.......
One has to always have multiple source of income; I don't say it, Mr.Warren Buffet advices it.... You being a student in Finance stock exchange, forex,etc would be a piece of cake.... but me being an IT guy, it's not easy..... in the above post you have mentioned things that are really good and true - but it's from your point of view....

I respect your opinion Juan and I agree that if you work hard you will earn a lot. in my experience I also work hard onboard a cargo ship coz i am a seaman by profession but in my calculation yes i can have my million but it would take 10 to 20 years and i put my self at risk everyday. not only that i have no time to enjoy life I am also far away from my family. I also try to put on traditional business but all of it was gone since I am not a business man. i dont have the knowledge and skills to run a business. and when I joined MVT I got this impression that it's a pyramiding and i will just earn if somebody join under me. will if you take a look on the corporate world it's a pyramid scheme as well. the corporate has a boss and the rest are working for the boss? now if you are part of the corporate you will work for your needs but your boss is enjoying because you are the one working their DREAM! i hope you realized that.
if you talk about Insurance company.. the people who is part of the company will look for the people who will invest their money in the company for the insurance plan right? do they have the product? no! they just have the plan just in case something will happen to you, you will get a benefit or money to spend for the hospitalization.
but if no one will invest to that insurance company what will happen? they will look for another investment from PSE? hmmmmmmmm!
anyway.. My advice to you is learned the basic of network marketing.. so that you will know! between working hard and working smart!

I don't understand one thing that's happening with our minds......Network marketing is merely nothing but marketing the company's product through normal people and giving them the commissions for the advertising they have done for the company......
Therefore in order to make the proper payments, each company comes up with the compensation plan and they do vary.......
If network marketing is a scam, then probably any company following the concept of referral marketing, etc needs to be closed down first, as many of the company's follow referral marketing concept alot....

The company,KBC or what ever it was.....didn't have any products or services in exchange of the money paid...now that is illegal.....buy not all MLM or Direct Selling companies are like that....

Thanks for the blog, I was to attend the presentation but I wont as I am NOT interested in MLM at all, I wasn't told it is an MLM!! I cannot sell to someone who really don't have a really good usage of the product. I believe in giving value for money in sale. But all MLM philosophy is based on selfish attitude, whether really useful or not, PUSH the product or a service down someone's throat (mostly your friends, relatives, anyone who trusts you)to earn money for yourself and also MAKE THEM DO THE SAME!! Dear MVT guys, for you to have a clean image and fair business, please START your introductory sales pitch with sentence 'We are an MLM company, offering a good product which if you are able sale further to others earns you good money' Make it CLEAR in the beginning itself, don't cajole people into investing like Ranjana Dasgupta from this blog is made to do, she didn't get even to use the product. The fact that these guys don't make it clear is because of the negativity attached to the concept of MLM. MLM in itself is not bad, the way it is pushed is a bad means.

I am from the Philippines, I joined mvt almost 2 years ago.
It took me a year before I decided to try and start a team. At first, I tried to be as positive about mvt as I could be...but, as the weeks passed I noticed the "unethical" ways that we have to resort to just to convince people to join us. Yes, I am guilty of being unethical and I am disgusted and mortified with what I did, even if it was for only a short time. So let me share to you what we did and what I have observed when I was in the midst of these people who actively represent mvt...
First, we pretended. When introducing someone, our "achievements" are multiplied and magnified to project an image that we are successful in the business. I know for a fact that no one was earning anything significant, most of us did not even earn anything at all.
Second, we were (and they still are) irritating to people we saw as prospects and malign other businesses, especially the so called "traditional businesses".
Third, they "purposely" withhold vital information from you. Gladly, I can honestly say I am not guilty of this. In fact, I was a victim of this too. I was not informed that my direct downline need to be active (meaning she must have paid the yearly renewal fee of about 2000 php) in order for me to earn points when a friend of mine joined under me. They waited until my friend gave the money before they informed me, I was forced to renew the person directly under me. I also had to renew my membership before that, I already lost the points I earned from two down lines because I was inactive.
Fourth, they lie to people around them, even to themselves.
So really I can sum up my experience in this company in two words: epic fail.
Lucky for me though, I got out before I could sink deeper into the trap. I think the others still there are trapped as well. Well, I have not totally freed myself from the disaster of joining and getting actively involved with mvt for a time. I gave my friend a refund of the money she invested out of the moral obligation that I feel I owed her. I have not told my husband that I gave that refund. In a country like ours, 13000 php is a big deal. It can feed our small family in a month. Lucky for me, I know my husband has a gentle soul and will understand me, I just could not bring myself to admit to him just yet that I failed because of my stupidity.
I hope my story will help someone out there. Perhaps, someone who's also trapped or feel the same way that I feel will reach out. I hope there's a legal remedy for us.

Also, I'm taking into consideration those people who are just "trapped"...they may be recruiting for mvt or still with mvt because they don't have a choice e.g. those "IR's" who had convinced a handful of people to "invest", they just couldn't stop because they don't have the capacity to refund their down lines. all network marketing projects are just CONCEPT SELLING.
this is also one of them.
Also convincing anybody to join these type of projects is very hard.
as i was not interested for such projects immediately rejected to join and walked away.
