Why have tens of millions of poor people given their money to billionaires ?

Shyam
One has to laugh at the latest delivery of unsolicited, reality-inverting bullshit from the unmasked 'Amway' Lord Haw Haw,Mr. 'IBOFB' Steadson. In fact, it's tantamount to a confession of guilt; for he now (in all innocence) says:
'No, it's not common practice (for 'Amway' adherents to retail products to customers for a profit). The BERR statistics said only 6% even made an attempt to sell to even one customer.
Given that both the corp and the majority of training systems teach that selling to multiple customers is *necessary* to achieve success in Amway (and in most places actually required by the rules), then 94% of IBOs at least in the UK) can be excluded from any analysis of whether it "works" or not - they never even made an attempt to do something necessary to succeed.
A legitimate question to ask is why do so many people join and make no attempt to earn an income?'
Notice how precisely-worded Mr. Steadson's loaded-question is. The real question has always been:
Why have tens of millions of poor people given their money to billionaires?
The answer has been posted on this Blog many times. It is also available on Robert FitzPatrick's excellent Pyramid Scheme Alert Website and is contained in the various wise judgements rendered by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, etc.
The so-called 'Amway Business Opportunity' is a cruel fake run by some of the most absurd, but nonetheless successful, racketeers in history. It has always been an unlawful money circulation scheme camouflaged by effectively-unsaleable wampum, maliciously designed to enslave the vulnerable and ill-informed, and them blame them when they fail to make any money (hence, Mr. Steadson's reality-inverting question - 'why do so many people make no attempt to earn an income?').
Despite what the inflexible 'Amway' Lord Haw Haw steadfastly pretends to be reality, for the overwhelming majority of all the tens of millions of persons who have temporarily been bedazzled by the fake 'Amway' beacon down the years, it has been effectively impossible for them to sell sufficient 'Amway' wampum (for a profit on the open-market) for them to make a living, let alone retire. The result has been one of the largest premeditated closed-market swindles of all time; for without a significant and sustainable source of external revenue, no system of economic exchange can produce an overall material benefit for the overwhelming majority of its contributing participants. 'Amway's' victims (like those of Bernie Madoff) have, in reality, been peddled infinite shares of their own finite money.
Since the 1970s, when they first got rumbled by the Federal Trade Commission (before their own man was temporarily installed as FTC Director), the billionaire bosses of the 'Amway' mob have sustained their activities and escaped criminal prosecution by claiming that all so-called 'IBOs' are taught to sell products to multiple customers and that selling products to 10 customers is required by 'Amway's' own rules. In reality, these are lies, because (as a mountain of documentary, and witness, evidence proves) the majority of 'Amway' adherents have continued to be exposed to devious, co-ordinated techniques of social, psychological and physical persuasion designed to shut-down individuals' critical and evaluative faculties, cut them off from external reality, and gradually condition them to believe that selling products is for 'Losers: Winners Exactly Duplicate a Proven Plan of self-consumption and recruitment.'
In practise, the so-called 'Amway 10 Customer Rule' has been a cruel little fake (within a cruel large fake), because it has never been enforced.
The motive behind the 'Amway' closed-market swindle has been to lure its victims into a related, 'Scientology'-style, advance fee fraud (a.k.a. 'tool scam'). This immense racket has been organized behind a labyrinth of (apparently independent) corporate structures, maliciously designed to prevent, and/or divert, investigation and isolate the beneficiaries from liability.
In 2006, 'Amway UK Ltd.' was finally discovered (as predicted, by persons such as myself, Robert Fitzpatrick and Eric Scheibeler) to have been a counterfeit 'direct selling company' with a never-ending chain of perpetually-insolvent, non-salaried commission agents who had virtually no external customers. In 34 years, 'Amway UK Ltd.' never declared an annual trading profit. Indeed, it lost tens of millions of dollars, but (because it was privately-owned) the company officers were not obliged to make this crucial information public (until they faced a public interest bankruptcy petition filed by the UK government).
The important question which was apparently never asked when 'Amway UK Ltd.' was brought before the UK High Court (because, according to the UK Companies Act, these civil proceedings could only concern 'Amway UK Ltd.') was:
What was the real motive behind US citizens keeping a secretly, and perpetually, insolvent UK private company afloat for 34 years?
The answer is:
Behind 'Amway UK' lurked an advance fee fraud which netted hundreds of millions of dollars for a handful of racketeers in the USA, and upon which no UK tax was paid. The main beneficiaries of this mass-theft were Dexter Yager and his criminal associates in the USA. Yager was the de facto boss of 'International Business Systems Ltd.' a UK-registered private company that was ostensibly run by Messrs. Scriven and Gregory and their respective spouses. The so-called 'Amway Business Opportunity' was the bait, and 'IBS Ltd.' was the main front, for the advance fee fraud. 'IBS UK Ltd.' was immediately closed-down by its own officers when UK government officials began to investigate it and 'Amway UK Ltd.' and (since 'Amway UK Ltd.' narrowly-survived compulsory closure) no criminal enquiry has ensued.

So let me get this straight - you'er claiming that the owners of Amway UK kept operating Amway UK at a loss so that Dexter Yager could make money for his company?

Also, you claim that "for the overwhelming majority of all the tens of millions of persons who have temporarily been bedazzled by the fake 'Amway' beacon down the years, it has been effectively impossible for them to sell sufficient Amway 'wampum'"

By figures you yourself acknowledge, 94% never even try to sell Amway products on what basis do you state they were unable to sell Amway products?

Do I take it from your refusal to accept my offer that you now acknowledge that SOME people CAN and DO sell Amway products?

Oh, and I'm not poor Brear, I "give my money to Amway billionaires" for the same reason I give it to the IKEA billionaires and the Microsoft billionaires and the google billionaires and the amazon billionaires etc etc etc

I want their products and/or services

IBOFB states: "I want their products and/or services"

Joecool says: That's not necessarily true of why people buy Amway "wampum". People buy it because they may have been told that the opportunity will make them rich in 2-5 years and that the opportunity will allow them to fulfil their dreams and retire early while boatloads of cash rolls in.

Nobody buys microsoft products for that reason. Nobody shops at Walmart for that reason.

I'm an "Amway people" and I buy Amway products because I want them. I know many people that do the same.

Now, we know from the internet that some people bought Amway products for the wrong reasons.

That was dumb. You can't and won't build a long term sustainable business on illegitimate demand.

We also know, thanks to Woodward vs Quixtar, that the vast majority of people who buy Amway products do so with no expectation of any financial reward for doing so.

So while some may do it, it's not the majority.

IBOFB doesn't live in the US. He lives ai "Amway Wonderland" where IBOs sell products and nobody lies when recruiting downline.
