Currently, the so-called 'Indian Direct Selling Association' is just one of a global labyrinth of 58 copy-cat corporate structures (taken from an American model) pursuing lawful, and/or unlawful, enterprises which have been used to dissimulate some of the most pernicious blame-the-victim frauds since the demise of the 'Third Reich.' In plain language, the 'IDSA' is an absurd, but nonetheless dangerous, little lie within an absurd, but nonetheless dangerous, big lie known as the 'World Federation of Direct Selling Associations.'
So-called 'DSAs' have no other source of revenue other than their member companies' contributions. According to the'WFDSA' Website, membership contributions are based on the annual 'retail sales' conducted by individual 'Direct Selling Companies' http://www.wfdsa.org/about_wfdsa/index.cfm?fa=membershipInfo . Conveniently, there has never been any means by which any 'DSA' can verify that any member company's non-salaried commission agents have actually been conducting retail sales to outsiders. Thus, the entire shifty labyrinth of 'DSAs' has always been financed by contributions which have been calculated on the reality-inverting fairy-tale that the DSA member companies' declared 'annual sales figures' are authentic retail sales. Hence, the officers of the various 'DSAs,' have had a conflict of interests (to say the least); for their salaries have been paid by contributions which, according to their own un-enforced rules, can only accrue as a result of 'retail selling'. Consequently, these useful idiots are hardly likely to want to confront the ugly reality that virtually no retail selling has ever taken place.
In the adult world of quantifiable reality, for decades, the overwhelming majority of all the billions of dollars of transactions declared by various fake 'Direct Selling' companies (like 'Amway') have secretly been contributions (arbitrarily defined as 'sales') to illegal money circulation schemes (in return for which, victims have received effectively-unsaleable wampum). In respect of numerous 'Amway' copy-cats, there has never been any significant, or sustainable, authentic retailing selling taking place. The overwhelming majority of so-called 'retail customers' for 'Amway's' effectively-unsaleable wampum have been the ill-informed victims of a giant, blame-the-victim, closed-market swindle who have been arbitrarily, and falsely, defined as, 'Independent Business Owners,' and led to believe that the 'exact duplication of a plan of recruitment and self-consumption can lead anyone to Total Financial Freedom.'
In order to continue to receive his fat salary cheques, for three decades, Richard Berry, the (now elderly) 'Director' of the so-called 'UK DSA' (which has been registered as a privately-controlled, limited-liability, commercial company) was obliged steadfastly to pretend that all 'UKDSA' member companies (including 'Amway' UK) were subject to a code of ethics and were acting within the law by retailing products.
Self-evidently, the 'UKDSA' has also been an absurd, but nonetheless dangerous, little lie within an absurd, but nonetheless dangerous, big lie known as the 'World Federation of Direct Selling Associations.'
