Amway distributors give no receipt to retail customers

Amway India sells its products to its distributors and they in turn have to find retail customers. That is the original idea. But these retail customers receive no receipt for their products purchased from the distributors. The distrubutors who claim discount from the purchase from Amway India try to sell these products to the retail customers without any receipt. That is how the consumer has no right to complain or no way to approach the consumer court in case he faces problem with the products.
Every sale must be recorded and must be supported by a receipt. But the Amway distributors do not issue any receipt thus evading paying sales tax to the government. If the Amway India's claim of achieving sales turnover of Rs. 900 crore is to be believed, the Government of India is not getting any revenue from its retail sales. This is one area, the Government of India should concentrate.
So is the case with the numerous fraud companies like Herbalife, Forever Living Products, Hindustan Unilever Network and other members of Indian Direct Selling Association.
For instance, GoldQuest International's Independent Representatives claimed to have paid Income Tax on their income. But they did not pay sales tax on the sales of gold and silver coins and other articles. That it is one of the problems they are facing now. On the other hand, nobody should sell gold coins except the Government of India. Now, the ICICI Bank which imported gold coins is now facing tax problems with the authorities.
It is high time, the tax authorities of the respective State Governments all over India concentrated on the retail sales of Amway India also to penalise it on that front.

Yet another amazing all encompassing omniscient blanket claim.

I give receipts. I know Amway India distributors who also give receipts. Indeed the Amway India Rules of Conduct say -

Written Sales Receipt: A Distributor shall deliver to the customer at the time of sale a written and dated order or receipt which shall:
(a) Describe the product(s) sold,
(b) State the price charged,
(c) Give the name, address, and telephone number of the selling Distributor, and
(d) Include Amway’s Customer Product Refund Policy.

It's basic business. If you know a distributor not giving receipts, complain to them. If you get no response, complain to Amway.

Fine, but if only 3.4% of Amway products are sold to non IBOs, that's not many receipts being issued. :P

Complain to Amway?

And just what will they do Dave/IBOFB?

I'll tell you what they'll do, they'll give a vaguely worded response that they have dealt with the matter internally.

Just like they do everything else.

You're right, it is basic business, however, Amway distributors don't receive any business training, and the corporation accepts no accountability for the actions of the distributors.

So basically, if there are no complaints, there is no problem. When a problem is identified, it's not dealt with in an open and transparent manner, nor is proper business training mandatory.

What it boils down to is Amway will take the IBO money for overpriced products and help them pretend to be a business owner.

But when their idiotic business practices get them in trouble, Amway absolves itself of any wrongdoing, and blames the IBO.

But when the IBO has a legitimate complaint, Amway either spends them to death in court or else leaves them out in the cold.

Yes, they have rules, and you quote them nicely.

But are the rules enforced? No, not really.

Is there denunciation of poor business management and leadership? No, not really.

Is there deterrence for idiotic statements made by IBO's? No, not really.

Is Amway a real business? No, not really.

Amway is a joke.

The way you defend it is an even bigger joke.

Bw-ha-ha-ha! Once again David Steadson/IBOFB doesn't fail us with yet another of his melodramatic pseudo retorts.

I do note he refuted absolutely NOTHING of what I stated.

There's Amway's Rock of Gibralter!

Reality be damned? You're the one who's notorious for spreading mendacious information about Amway, yest has the gall to proclaim your blogs, (as in, like, a dozen of them) to bear "the truth".

Any time you care to refute what I've said, feel free to come back, otherwise, continue to tuck tail and slink off.

What a douchebag.

LOL Ouch, that's gotta hurt!
