The real inducement for buying overpriced Amway junk

Shyam
In the video interview which I attached to my previous post, Mr. Harry Markopolos (a highly-qualified mathematician and financial analyst) explains how, by 'reverse-engineering' Bernie Madoff's fiercely-complex so-called 'split-strike conversion strategy,' he was able to prove (within a few hours) that what Bernie Madoff claimed to offer to his so-called 'investors' (i.e.'perpetual profits') was a seductive, but nonetheless pernicious, lie. In simple terms, even though Mr. Markopolos knew the mathematical theory of how Bernie Madoff's apparently infallible 'investment strategy' was supposed to work, he was unable to get it work on paper.
However, in the end, in order to send Bernie Madoff to prison for 150 years, US law enforcement agents and prosecutors didn't have to submit any complex calculations to the judge. Amazingly, only after Bernie Madoff confessed, was the full panoply of US law enforcement able to uncover the self-evident truth that Bernie Madoff's miraculous ever-growing 'multi-billion dollar hedge fund' was an absurd fairy-tale spun by a dangerous, mythomaniac economic-alchemist. For years, Bernie Madoff had steadfastly pretended to be taking wealthy people's capital assets and multiplying this money by making endlessly-profitable trades in financial markets. Yet, by just looking at the virtually non-existent external bank transactions of 'Madoff Investments,' FBI agents were able immediately to confirm that Bernie Madoff hadn't been making any external trades at all. Indeed, in the end, his so-called'hedge fund' (which only contained his victims' cash) had a $50+ billions deficit. Many years previously, Mr. Harry Markopolos had explained this frightening closed-market reality to senior officials at the US Securities Exchange Commission (when Madoff's scheme's deficit was much smaller) but, unbelievably, these highly-paid ostrichs refused even to check whether Bernie Madoff's obviously-fraudulent money circulation scheme had a significant and sustainable external source of revenue other than its own victims.
Essentially, the identical situation exists today at the US Federal Trade Commission with regard to numerous closed-market swindles and allied advance fee frauds disguised as fiercely-complex so-called 'Multilevel Marketing Schemes,' but which have never had a significant and sustainable external source of revenue other than their own victims.
We know for certain that various highly-paid ostriches at the FTC (including former Chairman, Timothy Muris) have been in receipt of stolen cash from the 'Amway' mob, and that the Republican administration which appointed these selectively-blind officials was itself in receipt of stolen cash from the'Amway' mob. As yet, we don't know what inducements might have been given to senior SEC officials and their political masters to turn a blind eye to Mr. Madoff, or even if this strong possibility has been rigorously investigated.
For those of your readers, Shyam, who might be interested, information about the US Securities Exchange Commission can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Securities_and_Exchange_Commission . In reality, despite its thousands of legally-qualified officials and multi-billion dollar budget, the SEC has been proved to be little more than a joke. During all of the period that Bernie Madoff was allowed to pillage the world, the SEC maintained an 'Office of Investor Education and Advocacy.' It still exists today. However, it is very difficult to imagine what the people in this office actually do all day other than dose, because (according to them) they are supposed to: 'help educate the public about securities markets and to warn investors of fraud and stock market scams.'
The Amway' Lord Haw Haw keeps squawking his latest inane question which turns out to be a big mistake on his part; for your readers might be interested to know that, a while back, I was asked to obtain a range of overpriced 'Amway' wampum by some European consumer advisors and investigative journalists. They found 'Amway' coffee to be particularly coarse and repulsive (at the time, this was about 4-5 times the price of similar low-quality products in French discount stores), but the journalists were mostly interested in a steel cooking pan (originally-priced in its set at around $1000). This shiney object was appraised by the former manager of a large Parisian hotel, turned-restaurateur (a man with over 30 years experience in buying kitchen equipment). He stated that the 'Amway' pan was of the thinnest gauge metal which would melt on direct induction cookers, and that a similar low-quality pan could be bought for a few Euros in any discount store. He simply couldn't believe how much it had been originally sold for. What this man couldn't know was, that by handing over around $1000 in exchange for this 'Amway' Wampum, 'Amway' adherents could immediately pretend the level of so-called 'Business Volume' which, if maintained, would allow them to qualify for a much higher level in the 'Amway' hierarchy. This was the real inducement for 'buying' this overpriced junk.

ROFLMAO!!!

What a load of codswallop Brear. Amway has NEVER had a cooking pan for $1000.

EVER

You can however buy a 22 PIECE cookware set for around that price, and I personally have used Amway cookware on induction cookers and sold them to restaurateurs, who were so happy with them they bought sets as presents for their family.

It's also not of "the thinnest guage metal" (which these days is measured in microns), indeed the standard pans are all 3-ply.

My mother purchased a set of Amway cookware almost 30 years ago, which she continues to use today. Try the same with a dime store pan Brear.

You are a liar, Brear.

As for the coffee, I don't drink coffee so can't comment on it's quality. However it's interesting to note that Amway is known world-wide for it's home care products, it's nutrition products, and it's skin care and cosmetics ranges. Amway has won numerous independent awards in each of these categories, and they make up more than 95% of Amway's revenues.

So you picked a frying pan and coffee to give to journalists?

Really?

There can be no possible reason for that except to go out of your way to cherry-pick products in the hope to give a false impression to third parties.

You are dishonest, Brear.

Mind you, it appears clear to me that your "cherrypicking" most likely involved picking products that didn't even come from Amway and then lying to the "evaluators"!

Also interesting to note you didn't answer the question.

Which Amway products have YOU used, Brear?

And lets be specific - Amway manufactured products, which doesn't include coffee.

Curious, I did some research into Amway Coffee.

Seems it's 100% Arabica Bean Coffee from the Doi Tung sustainable development project in Thailand and gets great reviews

And similar coffee can be purchased at Walmart for pennies on the dollar compared to Amway? LOL

Brear,

There was no need to uncover hardly anything after Madoff confessed.

Another political attack on Republicans? Slick Willie had 8 years, and Barry hasn't done much, either.

The FTC is incompetent, but NOT for the reasons you and Shyam think. It's the AMWAY TOOL SCAM, STUPID! You won't get traction out of "external sources of Amway product sales, because the FTC has gone on record this is not an automatic indication of a problem. THE PROBLEM IS THE ATS, AND YOU AND SHYAM ARE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD BY STAYING ON THE "MONEY CIRCULATION" AND "NO EXTERNAL VOLUME" BANDWAGONS RATHER THAN FOCUSING ON THE REAL PROBLEM, THE ATS. STUPID!!! ALSO, AMWAY IS NOT A PONZI SCHEME, IT'S A BAIT-AND-SWITCH OPERATION. SO STOP THIS BULLSHIT AS WELL, BECAUSE YOU ARE ACTUALLY HELPING AMWAY AND OTHER SCAMS BY FOCUSING ON THE WRONG ISSUES. DUMBASSES!!!

Your product price comparisons are pure bullshit as well. If you had bought an actual Amway pan, you would realize what you said is pure excrement. If you don't have references for your pan and coffee claims, all readers should ignore everything you've ever posted or will post in the future.

In fact, Amway should sue your ass! By the way, I've forwarded your post to them! LOL

So the FTC should therefore investigate Network 21, WWDB, BWW, Yager, INA, LTD and other systems.

JoeCool, I have been unable to find Doi Tung Coffee at Wal-Mart.

Closest I could find was Arbuckle's 100% arabica fine roasted coffee, but walmart.com wouldn't tell me the price.

I found it on Amazon.com on special for US$24.00 for 1 kg.

Just also found New England Coffee at walmart. Like the Amway product it's "Fair Trade". No Walmart price, but it's $40.14 for 1.36kg

Amway Europe sells 1kg of Fair Trade 100% Arabica been coffee for approx US17.00 - significantly cheaper than both.

As usual you're apparently just making stuff up.

But please, feel free to prove me wrong. 100% Arabica Fair Trade Coffee, what's the RRP at Walmart?

jc,

Yes, the FTC should investigate all the LCK-owned, tool scamming companies. Or, take the approach the UK did, and hold Amway accountable for the LCK behavior. Maybe we could get another letter from Jimmy Dornan, or one from Dex, although it will probably be short, something like, "If the dream is big enough, the [Amway Tool Scam] facts don't count!"

ibofb,

I wasn't aware there was more than one price available from Walmart.

Joecool said...

Again, IBOFB is being his usual dishonest self. Did I say Walmart had the exact same coffee? No I said it was something similar.

Spinning the topic and creating diversionary tactics is what he does.

Tex said...

jc,

Do you have a fucking CLUE what "Fair Trade Coffee" means?

Joecool said...

Tex, fuck off you loser.

Tex said...

Just as I thought, TOTALLY CLUELESS, as usual. LOL

IBOFB said...

And guess what JoeCool, I provided you with prices to SOMETHING SIMILAR.

And it was signficantly more expensive than the Amway product.

So come on, back up your claim.

Joecool said...

Is there a WalMart in Sweden? Are you seriously saying products are cheaper through Amway than through WalMart? You're the one who said don't promote Amway as a way to save money/

Tex said...

jc,

There are no Walmarts in Sweden, you could have done a quick google search, but you were probably too busy humping one of your whores. LOL

You're also a dumbass for not answering my original question regarding fair trade coffee. Here's a clue: it's NOT a sex position with one of your Hawaiian whores! LOL

Joecool said...

tex, I wasn't talking to you. You may resume humping your hilbilly cousins in texas, home of the steers and queers.

Tex said...

jc,

You're not talking to anyone, you don't answer questions. LOL

You have no evidence of me doing anything with "hillbilly cousins", I have plenty of you and your Hawaiian whores: http://texsquixtarblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/things-you-didnt-know-about-joecool18.html LOL

You know, jc, if you had a single brain cell you wouldn't cause me to continue to show what a whore mongerer you are, but I guess that proves how STUPID you are, right? LOL

IBOFB said...

JoeCool, you are claiming their are equivalent products cheaper at Walmart.

Please provide the evidence.

On early occasions you have made this claim with regard walmart, you were found to be lying, so forgive my skepticism.

Joecool said...

WalMart publicly says they will match any advertised price. YOu show them the ad. If they carry the same product, they will give you the lower price. They also claim publicly that a family will save about $2500 a year shopping at Walmart instead of other retailers. Does Amway make any such claims?

Only an Amway zealot like you, IBOFB would be stupid enough to claim that Amway goods are cheaper overall than WalMart.

Tex said...

jc/ibofb,

How many times do we have to go over this issue? Walmart probably doesn't carry that product. Walmart carries lower quality products, at lower prices. If the products Amway carries are high quality, but too pricey for too many people, they will fail. That's why Amway has recently come out with lower quality/priced vitamins, skin care, cosmetics, etc.

You guys could argue about the same thing 1,000 times and not get bored. GET A CLUE!
